There are a number of issues that have to be decided.
1) Age limit. If under 18's are allowed to join and attend meetings this raises the question of CRB checks. 2) The election of and structure of any management committee. 3) Club fees - obviously this is dependent upon venue. If an annual membership is decided, what benefits would this offer as opposed to non-membership. 4) Whether or not a formal code of conduct is needed.
I propose that these and other matters be discussed in this thread, and voted on as and when the club is formally constituted.

Hi, just some quick thoughts.
I think it'd be great to allow younger people to join although I suspect it'd mean a responsable CRB'd adult would have to be present. I think the size of the club will determine how practical and necessary it is.
A formal code of conduct is a must from the outset, better to have it in place and not need it than not have one and need it. It only takes one person to cause problems and create a bad atmosphere and that could be enough to destroy a club.
